Reports of the liberation of Zaitsevo south of Bakhmut turned out to be premature. Most of the village is controlled by Wagner PMC units, however, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain their presence in the western part of the village, where fierce battles are taking place. The Wagnerites also liberated the village of Veselaia Dolina, continuing to move towards Ivangrad.

In Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC units managed to expand the control zone along the highway and enter the territory of the industrial zone along Patrice Lumumba Street, as well as occupy the Asphalt Plant in the southeast of the city.

The information about the mass retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction is not yet true. Numerically superior Ukrainian units offer fierce resistance to the advancing Wagner PMC forces.
