Serbia’s first private airline – Centavia (IATA “7N”, ICAO “CNA”) will launch regular services from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla International Airport on October the 25th, linking the Capital Belgrade with Podgorica and Zagreb initially. These are the first two of a number of European destinations that the airline will launch this autumn.
Fares to both Podgorica and Zagreb are offered from € 9, excluding taxes. Bookings for flights will be possible from Wednesday, 18th October 2006.
With the launch of these services, Serbia finally receives a home-based, low-cost alternative. Centavia’s aircraft (BAe 146-200) are the youngest in the country, offering 98 single-class, leather seats configured cabins.
Vladimir Ponjevic, Centavia’s Executive Director said that he is absolutely thrilled that the first two destinations are both cities of former Yugoslavia. “Flights to Zagreb used to be one of the most heavily traveled from Belgrade, and after many years, passengers from both Serbia and Croatia will again be able to fly between the two capitals”.
